Empowering Chester: Unveiling the Vision of Chester Great and Small
In the heart of Chester, a city brimming with history and opportunity, a new narrative is unfolding. Chester Great and Small (GAS) is on a mission to empower businesses and ignite change within our beloved community.
Last year a client and friend of ours, Tim Kenney from https://kenneymoore.co.uk/ reached out to ask if we could help in creating a video that will help set the tone for the event that they had coming up at the Storyhouse theatre in Chester which he could not attend.
The first steps were to create the video, for our location we chose to shoot at the story house. The upstairs bar seemed the best location as it will be where the attendee’s will walk through, creating familiarity. The aim of the event was to make an impact and invoke change, so it was only right that the mood we wanted to convey compliments the aim, to achieve this it was done with a mix of lighting and colour grade.
The lighting was a mix a of soft key light with a hard catch light to separate Tim from the background but also create some visual interest with the flare.
The video was displayed on a theatre screen and went down a treat, the mix of music + content within the video was greeted with applause from the audience at the end.
They have another upcoming event on 28th of March 2024, we're excited to once again harness the power of storytelling through a recap video. This time, we have been asked to capture the highlights focusing on the interaction of the guests, it will involve vox pop interviews and speakers from some of Chester’s biggest independent businesses.
With each project we undertake, we're reminded of the transformative power of filmmaking to not only document moments but to shape narratives and catalyze change. Through our lens, we hope to amplify the voices of Chester's businesses, foster connections, and pave the way for a brighter future.
